Job Description
In this Pharmacy Clerk Job in Pretoria, you will support the hospital pharmacy’s inventory and store operations — receiving stock, reconciling invoices, and keeping accurate records so wards and theatres are reliably supplied. Accuracy is central, because pharmacy stock control directly affects both patient care and hospital finances.
Goods receipting and invoice work form one pillar: accurate goods receipting against supplier invoices, investigating invoice queries and MIR6 discrepancies, assisting with GRIR report investigations, resolving purchase-price variances, and investigating unrecorded liabilities. You will also manage and capture invoices into the system, process new item-code requests, and file invoices and supporting documents daily.
Stock control and supply form the second pillar: ensuring adherence to all stock-control SOPs, planning and capturing cycle counts and stock takes, and unpacking, checking, and receiving stock from suppliers. You will process ward and theatre stock requisitions, ensure the timely supply of surgical stock to departments, assist with daily cash-up processes, support consignment-stock valuation updates, and assist with month-end reporting and close-out.
The position suits a detail-oriented, resilient administrator with stock-control or pharmacy-administration experience and SAP exposure who can work accurately under pressure. For the right candidate, it offers a stable healthcare role with a major hospital group.
Pharmacy stock-control work is a precise, valued niche in hospital administration. Accurate goods receipting, invoice reconciliation, and stock supply directly affect both patient care and the hospital’s finances, so a detail-oriented clerk who keeps wards and theatres reliably supplied is genuinely important.
